André Sier



André Sier is an electronic artist trained in sciences, arts and computing, with a degree in philosophy. He is currently pursuing a PhD in technoetic arts. Through algorithmical structures and custom interfaces, he creates objects and serial interactive work which seeks to playfully unravel time and space relations, as well as to propose a seamless infinite virtual imaginary cosmogony synthesized on electronic substrates which could rival reality. In the past 20 years he has produced works in code, 3D, video, sound, electronics, drawing, sculpture, videogames. His most recent solo exhibitions are Neon Paleolitikos at Ocupart (2017), Wolfanddotcom at Sonae Visual Art Award (2017-18), Atlantis at National Museum Contemporary Art (MNAC, 2016), Lampsacus, awarded in The New Art Fest’ 17 at Natural History and Science Museum and Phoenix.Wolfanddotcom.info at Balance Unbalance 2017, Plymouth University, UK. His works are part the collections of MEIAC (2006), Bienal de Cerveira (2009) and Benetton Foundation (2015).
